What was the highlight of Royal Decameron Punta Sal
Pleasant
The staff was very friendly, the beach was nice, food was good, specially the days that there was peruvian food, entertainment good too, George is very funny and Gipsy is a very good dancer. The whole entertainment staff is good. Pool is nice.
The hotel should inform in advance to the customers the weeks that the beach is closed to the customers. Because of the moonsoon period and bad weather (that happens certain months every year) they close the beach following goverment rules. From my 7 days holiday i was not able to swim a single day on the sea, that was very frustrating specially when i come from a place that there is no beach and weather is super cold. My whole point in Punta Sal was to swim. Of course there is no refund of my money, i needed to stay the whole week with no beach access in the resort. I needed to walk 20 minutes to be able to go out of the resort and be able to do a quick swim in the public beach, where people that were not in the resort where swimming. This issue should be better organised by the main managers of the Royal Decameron. The staff doesn't have the fault, they are nice and just follow the rules. The doors of the rooms should be more secured, they are very fragile. The beds should be better and the room more maintained, everything looks very old. I think because is the only resort in the area, they get their prices expensive. They don't have competition, other hotel chains should be built and make competition, in that way this hotel would upgrade their rooms and charge cheaper to attract more customers. Gym should have air con and machines should be upgraded, too old. The Freddy Mercure show, good concept, but the female singer with glasses, i am sorry but she was a terrible singer and the saxophone player very bad too, the guitar player was good. The snack area, good salads but the hamburguer and chicken sandwich, the quality very bad.

Quite fair but not coming back
The waiters and waitresses were awesome, very kind and willing to help all the time.
The bracelet they put in the visitors is collected at the end, but if you lose it you pay $40 for a piece of plastic. Nobody says that to the visitors when checking in, and at the time you check out and you don´t have the bracelet, then you are charged the $40. Very bad from them not to warn the visitors of that at the time of arriving.

in all it was ok woud not go back
The food was good, the drinks as well, what i didn't like was the registration process at the hotels , the lack of communication from the staff but it seems to be a cultural issue, the fact you weren't allowed to take food to your room or any other place in the establishment, that does not happen, in other all inclusive hotels and in cruises, found that not normal, also they seem to have been low in staffing at the restaurants, bar and lacking alchol in the pool bar area. the beach was not something i cared fpr since the wave where extremely dangerous.
